Privacy Policy

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and this privacy policy.

1. Responsible Party

The party responsible for data processing on this website is:

Rüdiger Baro

E-mail: info@kellersprinter.de

2. Data Collection on Our Website

Hosting and Server Log Files

Our website is hosted by an external service provider (Serverprofis GmbH, Germany). When you visit our website, the provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

  • Page visited on our domain
  • Date and time of the server request
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • Hostname of the accessing device
  • IP address

These data are not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free display and optimisation of our website — for this purpose server log files must be collected.

Anonymous Visit Statistics

This website uses its own minimal page-counter to track which content is being viewed. For each page load, the following values are written to a plain log file on our server (Serverprofis GmbH, Germany):

  • Visited page (path, no query parameters)
  • Timestamp
  • Hashed IP address (SHA-256 with salt, truncated to 16 characters — not reversible to the original IP)
  • Device category (Desktop / Mobile / Tablet, derived from the User-Agent)
  • Browser family and major version (e.g. “Chrome 124”), operating system family and version (e.g. “macOS 14”)
  • Bot flag (detected via known crawler signatures)
  • Referrer hostname and the path/query of the previous page (max 500 chars, no fragments; used to attribute traffic from e.g. specific Reddit threads)
  • Country derived from the IP address (ISO code, looked up against a locally hosted db-ip-lite database — the raw IP is never transmitted to any third-party service; the country is determined before the IP is hashed and discarded)
  • Time spent on the page (seconds between load and leave, measured client-side via navigator.sendBeacon; values below 2 seconds and above 30 minutes are ignored)
  • Performance metrics of the page load (Core Web Vitals: LCP, INP, CLS, FCP, TTFB — anonymous measurements to detect slow pages, no personal data)
  • Clicks on PDF downloads, outbound links, and scroll depth (25/50/75/100 %) — these conversion events are stored in a separate log file using the same hashed-IP anonymisation method

No cookies are set, no Local Storage and no Session Storage are used. We do not use analytics providers such as Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible, etc. The GeoIP database (db-ip-lite, refreshed monthly) lives entirely on our server — when you visit the site, no connection to a geo-lookup service is made. Collection is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in tailoring the site’s content and performance to actual usage). Identification of individual visitors is not possible — neither alone nor in combination with other information available to us.

Retention: Log files are kept on the server for a maximum of 12 months and then deleted manually. Aggregated statistics (e.g. “X visits in April”) are no longer personal and may be retained for longer.

Right to object: You may object to this collection at any time, either by enabling the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser (we honour the corresponding header) or by contacting us via info@kellersprinter.de — we will then remove future records associated with your IP hash from the log.

Contact Form and E-mail Enquiries

If you send us enquiries via the contact form or by e-mail, your details from the form or e-mail, including the contact data you provide (such as name and e-mail address), will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the effective processing of enquiries addressed to us) or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), where this has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form or send by e-mail will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory legal provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.

If you send us images of your own build via the form or by e-mail, you do so voluntarily (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). By submitting them, you grant us permission to publish these images as part of the “Rocker Plate Gallery” on our website. You may revoke this consent at any time for the future by sending a brief e-mail; the image will then be removed from the website promptly. Please ensure that no other persons or sensitive private details are visible in the background of the images.

3. General Notes and Mandatory Information

SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content — such as your enquiries to us — this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

Your Rights

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing. You also have the right, where applicable, to correction, blocking or deletion of this data.

You can contact us at the above address at any time for this purpose and for further questions on the subject of personal data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
